Benefits of Day Care

Specialist one day a week centres are popular because carers can have regular breaks knowing that their dependant relative is in safe hands, while at the same time , attendance at the centre gives the member an opportunity to socialise with others who have similar needs.

A high ratio of staff and volunteers to members guarantees a carefully planned programme of stimulation and activity, and it is also possible to cater with walking difficulties or incontinence.

Transport is provided between home and the centres and this runs from 10.00am - 2:30pm.

Bishop's Court Day Centre is used by MIND on Saturdays to provide support for carers at the weekend. This centre is for Sherwood residents only.
